How do I calculate percentage change in Excel?

To calculate percentage growth or decline across a list of values in Excel:

  1. Assume your numbers are in column B, beginning at B2.
  2. In cell C3, enter: =(B3-B2)/B2
  3. Select cell C3, click the % (Percent Style) button in the Home tab.
  4. Hover over the bottom-right corner of cell C3 until it turns into a plus icon (+), then drag it down to fill the rest of the cells.

What separators and formats are supported?
